Poppy and Rus had a very successful Equifest indeed! Results and comment from Poppy below... "We had a 1st in the Junior Dartmoor/Exmoor/Shetland, then took reserve champion against three other sections. We won a huge mixed m&m Junior Class and took 3rd place in the Hewitt Family Open Ridden Dartmoor Exmoor Shetland Final. We then placed 3rd in the Junior Small Breeds final. I've always wanted to win at equifest since we've been going every year from 2012 and I've never managed to. But Rus certainly turned that around and gave me not only one win but two! Also with a reserve champion and a third in two very stong finals. He's made two of my dreams come true within 5 shows!" Well done Poppy - we're all now looking forward to seeing you and Rus in action in the new Junior M&M class at HOYS in October! Good luck! |

Young Trevor wasn't meant to go to Equifest this year, Being a 4 year old up against the strapping 7/8 year olds in his in hand classes was never really going to end well. Trevor isn't a pony that enjoys doing nothing, So we were forced to take him. He was pulled in the top two in most of his classes, to our surprise, only loosing out because of maturity, which was expected. Judges gave us some amazing comments which is so lovely to hear when you have poured your heart and soul into a pony. Trevor has been to Equifest ever since he was a yearling. He loves the show and thrives off the buzzy atmosphere. We look forward to returning, although I'm determined that Young Trevor is staying at home next year! |
